Sandbach Leisure Centre, run by Congleton Borough Council, is situated on Middlewich Road to the rear of Sandbach High School. Facilities available for use at the Centre include a swimming pool, squash courts, sports hall, fitness suite, outdoor hockey pitch, outdoor tennis/netball courts, drama studio and bar and social area. The squash courts and fitness suite are available for use throughout the day and evening from 5pm to 11pm during weekdays and 9am to 11pm at weekends. During school holidays the facilities are available 9 am-11 pm.
The Leisure Centre organises a wide coaching and recreation programme for adults, youths and juniors. Activities include badminton, squash, swimming, ladies’ and men’s keep fit, fitness/weight training, popmobility, golf, junior soccer stars.
During the school holidays the Centre promotes an extensive programme involving many junior and family activities. Special Fun Days are organised to entertain the children during the long days off school.
The several clubs based at the Leisure Centre include karate, swimming, badminton, squash, judo, soccer, cricket (there are indoor nets), gymnastics and hockey.
