Sandbach Library is a focus for the local community. The meeting room is in regular use by societies and groups. Displays and exhibitions often take place. The Library offers a full range of services including: books, talking books, language cassettes, CDs, videos, DVDs, CD Roms and Playstations. It also has a good stock of local studies material, including census and parish records. Computers with access to the internet are available free of charge for the first hour for use by the public.
These facilities offer access to Cheshire’s Countywide Libraries and Archives Service by means of a reservation system, a computerised database and a business and reference information service. Playgroups and pre-school children are always made welcome. Local schools often arrange class visits to learn about the library and its services. The Library has photocopying, fax and OPAC facilities.
