Christmas Market and Late Night Shopping Event
Friday 1st December, 2017
3:00pm - 8:00pm
Sandbach has one of the best Christmas Markets in Cheshire with an extensive variety of goods on offer and a really Christmassy atmosphere in the town. Whatever the weather the town glows brightly on this special night, with choirs singing carols around the Christmas Tree, Santa in his Grotto, Brass Bands playing, Christmas lights twinkling, chestnuts roasting and the aroma of mulled wine. More than 100 stalls cover the Market Square, spread up the High Street, fill the Market Hall and expand over Little Common. With all the Town Centre shops offering late night shopping and Little Cheshire Fairs set up in the Town Hall there is a wealth of goods on offer.
The market runs from 3pm until 8pm on the first Friday in December (1st December 2107) and features hand made or decorated goods and home grown, cooked or reared produce along with Fair Trade wares.
Examples of produce on display at the market in previous years include speciality cheeses, hand made chocolates, Christmas cakes and cup cakes, chutneys and sauces, local beers, wine and prosecco, wooden toys, Christmas decorations, hand made jewellery, glass ware, handbags, scarves, soaps, bunting, board games and ladies and children’s clothing. The shopping experience is enhanced by the late night opening of all the Town’s independent and specialist shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. It is a wonderful pre- Christmas event.
